At Ligong, we continuously prioritize quality control to guarantee the highest standards for every product we deliver. 

Recently, we completed another round of thorough penetrant testing on our latest production batch, ensuring that every component meets the stringent safety and quality criteria that our clients expect.

The Process

Surface Cleaning: Before testing, all components undergo meticulous surface cleaning using specialized cleaners. 

This removes grease, dust, and any contaminants to create an optimal testing surface. 

A clean surface is crucial to accurately detect any imperfections during the test.

Penetrant Application: A dye penetrant is applied evenly across the surface of each part. 

The penetrant works by seeping into even the smallest cracks or defects. 

This stage takes 10 to 30 minutes, ensuring the penetrant has time to thoroughly infiltrate any potential imperfections.

Excess Removal: Once the penetrant has had time to set, we carefully remove any excess, ensuring the penetrant inside any cracks or defects remains undisturbed.

Developer Application: Following the removal of excess penetrant, we apply a developer that draws the penetrant out of any imperfections, making them visible for inspection.

Defect Identification: After the developer sets, we thoroughly inspect each part for any signs of defects, such as cracks, porosity, or discontinuities. 

Any imperfections are documented and addressed to maintain our high-quality standards.
